Moral Support Privacy Statement

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Who we are

Moral Support is a free repair series run by Moral Plumbing Pty Ltd trading as Moral Service Australia (ABN 54 629 372 023) and filmed for the Moral Lads social channels. The series is powered by Tradie AI, an app owned by Ridley Commerce Pty Ltd. In this statement, "we" and "us" means Moral Service.

What we collect

  • From applicants: your name, phone, email, suburb and postcode, whether you own the home you live in, who lives there, the problem, photos or videos you upload, why you need a hand right now, and how you'd like to be filmed. Please avoid uploading photos or videos that show people's faces, especially children's.
  • If someone helps you apply: when a family member or carer fills in the form with you, we also collect the helper's name, how they know you, and the helper's phone and email if they're the best person for us to talk to. Before we go any further, we'll contact you to make sure you're happy to apply. If you're not, we'll delete the application.
  • Personal circumstances: you may choose to tell us about health, disability, money or family matters. This is optional. We only collect it with your consent, and we only use it to understand your situation.
  • If you're selected: your street address, access details for the job, your signed consent forms, and the photos and footage we take.
  • From the website: basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, collected by our website host (Cloudflare) and its spam protection on the form (Cloudflare Turnstile). We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. It uses cookies and may collect your IP address, device details and activity on our site. This page also shows Instagram videos. When they load, Instagram (owned by Meta) may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, under Meta's own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing you type into the form is ever passed to analytics.

Why we collect it

  • To read and assess applications.
  • To contact you, including a phone call and a site visit if you're shortlisted.
  • To plan and carry out the work safely and to the required standards.
  • To film and publish the episode, only with your separate signed consent.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as compliance certificates and job records.

How we choose jobs

Every application is read by a person on our team, and people make every selection. We don't use AI or automated tools to decide who is selected.

Who we share it with

  • Our team: only the Moral Service staff who handle applications.
  • Other trades and suppliers: if you're selected and they help on your job, they get only what they need, such as your address and the scope of work.
  • The property owner or agent: if you don't own your home and you're shortlisted, we'll need the owner's written consent before doing any work. We'll only contact them with your OK.
  • Service providers: Cloudflare, which hosts our website and runs the application form (it keeps a backup copy of each application and stores the files you upload); Resend, which delivers the application email to our team; and Google Workspace, which we use for email and file storage. KINGTRADIE, the marketing agency that built and looks after this website, maintains the form system and can access those backup copies to keep it running.
  • Authorities: where the law requires it, such as lodging compliance paperwork for regulated plumbing and electrical work.

Tradie AI funds the series but does not receive your application. We never sell your details.

Filming and publishing

  • Nothing is filmed without a separate signed consent form.
  • You choose how you appear: on camera, face blurred, or just your home and the work.
  • We don't show your street name, house number or anything that identifies your address.
  • You'll see the video before it goes live.
  • Children are only filmed with a parent or guardian's consent.
  • Once published on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube, those platforms' own privacy policies also apply. We can take our posts down if you ask, but we can't control copies other people have already shared.

How we store and protect it

Your details are stored in our business email and Google Drive, both run on Google Workspace, and only the team members who need them can access them. The form system keeps a backup copy of each application, and the photos and videos you upload are stored privately there and never posted without your consent. Google, Cloudflare and Resend may store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you as soon as we can and explain what we're doing about it.

How long we keep it

  • Not selected: we delete your application within 12 months. The form system's backup copies and your uploaded files are deleted automatically after 12 months.
  • Selected: we keep your consent forms and footage for as long as the episode is published, and job and compliance records for as long as the law requires. Anything else is deleted once the job is done.

Your choices and rights

  • Fields without a * are optional. Without the required fields, we can't assess your application. You can't apply anonymously, because we need to contact you and visit the home.
  • You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you.
  • You, or the person who helped you apply, can withdraw the application and ask us to delete it at any time.
  • We won't add you to Moral Service or Tradie AI marketing lists unless you ask us to.
  • You must be 18 or over to apply or to help someone apply.

Questions and complaints

Contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on 1300 363 992 or at oaic.gov.au.
